How It Works → Connect
Connection at Practical Hug doesn't look one way. Some people show up to share. Some come to read. Some need to know other people are out there doing the same hard things — and that's enough. All of it counts. There is no wrong way to be part of this community.
We built in anonymity so you can share without the weight of being known. We celebrate lurkers because sometimes witnessing is its own kind of connection. And we created multiple ways to engage so you can choose the level that feels right for where you are right now.
The lowest lift
Respond to prompts that Lacey and Sara put out in The Village. A question, an invitation, a reflection. You don't have to have anything figured out — just answer what you can, when you can.
Just humans being humans
Ask questions, share a win, check in when things are hard, offer a resource, or post something that made you laugh. No tool required, no agenda — just people showing up for each other.
Learn from each other
When you're ready, share your tool work with the community. See how someone else used Good/Better/Best on a hard day. Watch how the same tool looks completely different in someone else's hands. This is where community learning actually happens.
Practice together in real time
Joy Circles are live gatherings where we practice the Joyful Support tool together — creating space to give and receive support in real time. Currently available in person. Virtual Joy Circles coming soon.
You never have to post, comment, or share anything. Reading other people's practices and feeling a little less alone IS connecting. Watching someone else work through something hard and thinking "me too" IS community.
We also offer anonymity so that when you are ready to share, you can do it without the weight of being known. Your name, your choice.
Show up however you can. It's enough.
